Your first Nebula observation

Practice with Demo A before using any operational workflow.

1. Prepare

   Open an approved Nebula account. Use fictional initials DA and activity Practice task. Define observable target behaviors consistently.

2. Set the session

   Enter an observation length such as 5 minutes. Choose Minute Check-In or Quick Tally; the guide below describes Minute Check-In. Choose the desired minute alert.

3. Start

   Select Start observation. Keep the page visible and continuously attend to the observation. Use the large countdown; the final five seconds provide a red visual cue.

4. Record an entry

   Tap the same behavior button three times. Watch the tap progress and running count. A completed three-tap sequence creates one timestamped entry. Multiple entries are allowed.

5. Mark coverage accurately

   Use None observed only if you observed the period without a listed behavior. Use Could not observe when you could not watch. Leave missed minutes as Not recorded rather than treating them as zeros.

6. Pause and finish

   Pause for interruptions and resume when appropriate. End & review at the intended endpoint; Keep observing returns to the session.

7. Review

   Check dates, duration, coverage, and notes. These are timestamped observation entries and do not substitute for operational definitions or required BIP documentation. Save the report before closing the tab.
